Arts and Exhibitions
The Art and Aesthetics Committee sponsors visual arts activities in the church, including displaying artwork in the sanctuary on a rotating basis, participating in visual arts activities, and arranging events during which members can create artwork. The committee supports the creation and maintenance of an aesthetic environment that enhances the spiritual and community activities that take place in the church building. We welcome new members and suggestions for future art shows.
Contact Co-chairs Susan Forth and Bob Rease for more information.
The Spirit in Nature
The Unitarian Universalist Church in Reston is celebrating the opening of its latest and first exhibit of 2012 with an opening reception from 1:30 pm until 4:00 pm on January 1. The exhibit is open to the public and children are welcome and encouraged.
The exhibit is the photography of long-time Reston resident Lea Gallardo and features Lea's view of the "human like" interactions that take place among the wonderful creatures of the birds of Reston, VA and Florida.
The exhibit will leave you smiling and is designed for ages 5-105. The exhibit will hang through February 4, 2012.
